I thought it would be interesting to write about my connections within the family, in a third person perspective, since I don’t know the years of marriage of my parents, and some other important facts about my family.
Selvaranjini, the middle Selvarajah’s child, married Palaratnam Ratnaranjit in 1977. They have two children, Stella was born in 1984 and Angeline was born in 1990. Selvaranjini and Palaratnam has been a subsytem within a family system for over thirty two years. They share their love of religion, reading and singing with their children in the larger family system, but they spend a lot of time together cooking, working together and cleaning without the children. The children who are now adults, developed a strong sibling subsystem based on a shared interest in television shows and music. Stella and Angeline are extremely close since they live within the same house, and share a special and unique bond. They learned a form of communication among each other, and how to distribute the essentials needs and materialistic objects among the both of them. Stella is now married, forming a new family system with her husband, Elton. However, she maintains a close connection with her family of origin, because Stella and Elton live in the same condominium in Selvaranjini and Palaratnam’s house. The family is very happy although some arguments doe arise but they over come such obstacles. No matter what happens they are still a family with love and nourishment.
